The property is conveniently located on the main South coast road, close to the black sand beach and needles. It offers great value for money with stylish and modern rooms. the kitchen facilities are excellent, allowing guests to save money with self-catering options. the bathrooms are clean and there is plenty of hot water. Guests also appreciate the cozy common areas and the bar available on site.

The shared rooms can be quite crowded, with multiple bunk beds and limited space.

The overall look of the hostel is really good, they've done their best to make it look nice. the view is beautiful and the kitchen is quite big. Showers are also very spacious. Perfect for a solo traveler.

We had a fantastic stay at a lovely location near Vik. The new building provided plenty of space and beautiful views across the bay. The double and single beds in separate dorms were comfortable, and the privacy curtains added a nice touch. The large, well-equipped kitchen was a bonus. I highly recommend this hostel for its great location and comfortable accommodations.

The kitchen at this hostel is absolutely amazing! It's large and clean, making you feel like a gourmet chef ready to whip up a delicious feast. the showers are clean and have great water pressure, providing a refreshing experience. I also appreciated the fact that they have a no-shoes policy, keeping the entire property clean. the location is fantastic, just a short 5-minute walk away from a stunning black beach.

One downside of this hostel is that it can feel a bit crowded and overwhelming, especially during peak times when there are many people using the facilities. the open plan layout and shared washbasin area can get crowded and make it hard to find your own space.

The amenities at the hotel were beautiful and well-maintained. the rooms were clean and comfortable, with lovely bedding that made for a good night's sleep. the location of the hotel was ideal, as it was situated close to the breathtaking black beaches of Vik. It was a short walk away, allowing for easy access to explore this natural wonder.

The lack of ventilation in the rooms was a major drawback. the rooms were exceedingly warm, and there was no opportunity to open windows for fresh air.

I recently stayed at The Barn in Vik and had a fantastic experience. The hotel exceeded my expectations with its clean and spacious kitchen and shower room. The abundance of toilets was also a plus. It felt more like a suite with bunk beds than just another hostel. The insulation was so impressive that I found myself sweating in my sleep. The dark design of the hotel was unusual but added to the overall charm. The stunning views and clear air were a breath of fresh air. The proximity to the Black Beach and puffins was a major highlight. The availability of parking space was a relief. I loved the huge, fully equipped kitchen and the bar, where I got to try some Icelandic beverages. The piano in the main hall was a delightful addition. The hotel was perfectly organized and had a unique ambiance that made it stand out. It was definitely a great place to stay.

I recently stayed at a hostel in a perfect location near a beautiful black sand beach. The accommodations were stylish and modern, exceeding the typical hostel standards. The dorm was equipped with double beds and curtains for privacy. The kitchen was well-stocked and the common area was comfortable. The bathrooms and showers were spacious and clean. The hostel even had a designated area for blow-drying hair. The view from the kitchen was stunning, especially during sunset. I had a great experience at this high-standard hostel.

Although there were lockers available, I found it inconvenient to have to go through multiple areas of the building to access my belongings. It would have been more convenient if the rooms could be locked for added security.

driving to the lake was even better than our previous stay in vik i myrdal. the views and clean air were refreshing, and the fully equipped kitchen and bar were a pleasant surprise. barn exceeded expectations, a great place to stay!
